Understanding the Usage of Air Equipments in Different Industrial Processes

Air equipments are machines that can mechanically compress air to be used in doing an industrial process. Some air equipments have filters used to remove impurities from the air especially those used in the medical industry. They are composed of nozzles which control the degree of air that is let out. In this article, we are going to focus on the uses of air equipments in industrial processes and their benefits.

Why do we need Air Equipments in different Industrial Processes?

Air equipments are important in industrial processes as they convert power from an external source e.g. electric motor or diesel into stored energy. The stored energy is then released as pressurized air which can be used to power industrial tools and machinery. This greatly reduces the power costs that industries have to incur to run their businesses. The pressurized air energy is also environmental friendly. This ensures that industrial processes have a positive impact on the environment. Industries use compressors to produce stored air and industrial gas. This stored air can be breathable e.g. gas used by scuba divers and in hospitals. Other stored gas can be used in the welding industry and also by firemen.

Industrial Applications of Roots Blower

Roots blower or roots vacuum pump are mostly used in industrial plants mostly dealing with sewage treatment. They are high volume to low pressure positive displacement (PD type). Roots blower operate on varying pressure and constant volume traits. Roots blower are mostly used in applications whereby large volumes of air should be moved across a smaller pressure differential. In low vacuum kind of applications, the roots blower can act alone. It can be used as a part in a higher vacuum system and in the combination of other pumps. Applications of roots blower include use in defense sirens and can be used in reverse to measure the flow of gases e.g. in gas meters. Other applications of roots blower include;
· *Vacuum cleaning system
· *Blending
· *Sewage, water and effluent treatment plants
· *Aeration in silos
· *Air drying

Benefits of Roots Blower

Some of the benefits of roots blower include; low power consumption, oil free, hard and grounded gears and rugged construction.

Industrial Applications of Rotary Compressor

A rotary compressor is one of the many types of a gas compressor. It uses a rotary positive displacement (PD) mechanism. Rotary compressors are applied in industries to supply compressed air for use in industrial applications. They are used to power construction machines that are air operated most common in construction sites. Other applications of rotary compressors are kiln charging, water treatment, aeration and pneumatic conveying and all can be referred at - http://www.acmeairequipments.com/tri-lobe-rotary-compressor-roots-blower-exhausters.html

Benefits of Rotary Compressor

A rotary compressor has numerous benefits, they are:
· *Low leakage levels
· *Less noise
· *Minimum vibration
· *Compact size
· *High volumetric efficiency

In conclusion, one is able to understand and learn the use of air equipments in different industrial processes. Moreover, one understands the various industrial applications of roots blower and rotary compressor and the benefits they add to life.
